During my junior year at Parsons School of Design, we began the spring semester with an upcycling collaboration with Tory Burch. My project specifically is designed to introduce curriculum within a local design high school, the New Design School in Manhattan, New York.
For my deliverable(s), a draped and 100% handsewn lace dress with a corset back. Alongside, a paired material bag with poly lining and a lace strap. The organic shape of the bag allows flexibility of storage within the bag and was able to be constructed using 4 seams and a handstitched strap attachment.
Below you can view my digital submission, describing the process I took to reach my final products, as well as my plan for incorporating upcycling projects into younger education.
